New Delhi, May 2026: The Ministry of Railways has issued a debarment order against Ms. Rajshree Awasthi, an Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) officer, barring her from future deputation assignments for a period of three years.

According to an official order issued by the Railway Board on May 25, 2026, the earlier deputation order dated February 25, 2026, regarding her posting to RITES Limited has been cancelled.

Ms. Rajshree Awasthi, currently serving as Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer (Dy. CME/HQ/CCG) under Western Railway, had been selected for deputation to RITES Limited as Additional General Manager (Mechanical) at Gurugram.

 

Deputation Order Cancelled

The Railway Ministry stated that the deputation order issued earlier for her assignment at RITES should be treated as cancelled with immediate effect.

The communication was addressed to the Chairman and Managing Director of RITES Limited along with senior Railway Board officials and Western Railway authorities.

Three-Year Debarment Imposed

As per the order, the competent authority has decided that Ms. Rajshree Awasthi will stand debarred from future deputation opportunities for a period of three years with effect from May 23, 2026.

The order was issued by the Railway Board under the Ministry of Railways and signed by Manoj Kumar Gupta, Under Secretary, Railway Board.

No specific reason for the debarment has been mentioned in the official communication.
