Rail Vikas Nigam secures LOA worth Rs 143.37 crore for 2x25 kV traction upgrade in Salem Division
Railway PSU Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd shares are in spotlight as the PSU company has received a LOA from Southern Railway.in the Normal course of business of the Company.
According to the exchange filing, it is informed that Rail Vikas Nigam Limited has received LOA from Southern Railway for “Upgradation work of Electric traction system from 1x25 kv to 2x25 kv traction system from Salem Jn. (SA)-Podanur Jn. (PTJ) & Irugur (IGU)-Coimbatore Jn. (CBE)-Podanur Jn. (PTJ) section of Salem division of Southern Railway to meet the 3000 MT loading target.”
The aforesaid work is in the normal course of business of the Company, the filing added. The cost of the project is Rs 143.37 crore.
The time period by which the order is to be executed is 24 months.
The company currently has an order book of Rs 97,000 crore with order inflows in FY25 at Rs 14,000 crore, approximately.
Shares of RVNL are trading higher by 0.14 pc at Rs 391.20 at BSE.
