SECI issues RfS for 100 MWh Standalone Energy Storage System on Short-Term Basis under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding
New Delhi, 29 August: Navaratna PSU, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), has issued Request for Selection of Energy Storage System Developers for Utilization of 100 MWh (50 MW x 2 Hrs.) Standalone Energy Storage System on a Short-Term Basis for "On Demand” Usage Under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding.
The PSU company shall enter into an Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (ESPA) with the Successful Bidder selected based on this RfS for providing an energy storage facility to SECI as per the terms, conditions, and provisions of the RfS and ESPA.
Only the ESS Projects that are operational, i.e., those Projects that are already commissioned and whose COD has been declared as of the bid submission deadline, are allowed to participate.
An Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of INR 24,000,000/- (Indian Rupees Two Crore and Forty Lakhs only), in the form of a bank guarantee and valid for 6 months from the last date of bid submission, shall be submitted by the bidder along with their bid, failing which the bid shall be summarily rejected.
Bidders should submit their bid proposal complete in all aspects on or before the last date and time of bid submission as mentioned on the ISN-ETS Portal (https://www.bharatelectronictender.com), the SECI website http://www.seci.co.in, and as indicated in the Bid Information Sheet.
The last date to submit a bid is 30.09.2026.
