Capt. B.K. Tyagi’s CMD Term at SCILAL Extended till June 2026
New Delhi:– The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has approved a six-month extension of the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Shipping Corporation of India Land and Assets Limited (SCILAL) for Capt. Binesh Kumar Tyagi, subject to approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
The extension will be effective from January 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The decision was communicated to the company on December 29, 2025, and disclosed under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
Capt. Tyagi currently also serves as CMD of Shipping Corporation of India (SCI), Inland & Coastal Shipping Ltd (ICSL), and SCI Bharat IFSC Ltd. He assumed charge as CMD of SCILAL on September 3, 2022 and brings with him over 35 years of distinguished experience across ship operations, port development, chartering, maritime law, and shipping management.
An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, Capt. Tyagi is a fellow of several international professional institutions and serves on multiple national and global maritime committees, including those under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
The company confirmed that Capt. Tyagi is not related to any director of SCILAL and not debarred by SEBI or any authority from holding the office of director.
