New Delhi: Shares of Defence PSU, BEML Ltd are trading higher by 2.42% at Rs 3,952.50 as the company has announced that it has made a global debut in the rail and metro sector by securing its first international contract from Malaysia, costing around USD 1 million.

This project involves the retrofit and reconditioning of the Mass Rapid Transport System, as disclosed in a recent filing with the stock exchange.

The company stated through exchange filing that it has received its maiden overseas contract in the Rail and Metro segment from Malaysia for the Retrofit and Reconditioning of the Mass Rapid Transport System on 09.08.2025, valued at USD 1 million.

The stock has been revived from past losses as the board has received significant contracts in the recent weeks. The stock opened today at Rs 3,887.90 and reached an intraday high of Rs 4,044.00.

The company is looking forward to reach an order book of Rs 22,000 crore and currently it stands at Rs 14,610 crore as of FY25-end.
