Power Grid Corporation shares rises four percent amid Rs.6 56 crore approved investments

Power Grid Corporation shares surged 4% to Rs.287.45 after the company board approved investments worth Rs. 656 crores investments for electricity transmission projects.
The central public sector unit Power Grid Corporation, the largest electric power transmission company has approved investments worth Rs.656 crore for the implementation of electricity transmission projects in the country. According to the company filing the Board of Directors approved the implementation of Unified Load Dispatch and Communication [ULDC] Phase-3[SCADA/EMS Upgradation Project –Northern Region SLDCs ] approximate cost of Rs. 514.66 crore with a commissioning schedule of November 15, 2025 .
The Committee of Directors on Investment on Project approved the augmentation of 765/400 kilovolt, 1500 megavolt –-amperes transformer[4th] at Bhiwani at an estimated cost of Rs.141.09 crore that has to be commissioned by 5 May 2025.
