BEL Recruitment 2026: Walk-in Hiring for Field Operation Engineer and Project Engineer Posts

New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited has released a recruitment advertisement inviting applications for multiple engineering positions on a temporary contract basis under its Homeland Security and Smart City Business SBU (HLS&SCB). The positions will support various project sites across Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

The recruitment drive includes 56 vacancies across two roles — Field Operation Engineer and Project Engineer-I. Candidates will be selected through a pre-registered walk-in selection process consisting of a written test followed by an interview.

Vacancy Details

BEL is recruiting 25 Field Operation Engineers and 31 Project Engineers-I for deployment across northern India project locations. The organisation has indicated that the number of vacancies may change depending on project requirements.

Candidates must be willing to travel across India and accept postings based on project needs.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must possess BE/BTech/BSc Engineering (4-year course), ME/MTech, or MCA from a recognised university or institute approved by AICTE/UGC. Eligible disciplines include Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Information Technology, and related branches.

Experience Requirement

Field Operation Engineer applicants must have five years of relevant post-qualification experience, while Project Engineer candidates must have two years of experience. Relevant experience includes networking, database administration, routing and switching protocols, firewall systems, Linux basics, and data centre operations.

Age Limit

The upper age limit as on 1 June 2026 is:

Field Operation Engineer: 40 years
Project Engineer-I: 32 years

Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government norms.

Salary and Benefits

Field Operation Engineers will receive ₹60,000 per month in the first year with annual increments of ₹5,000 for contract extensions. Project Engineers will receive ₹40,000 per month initially with similar increments for extended tenure.

Additional annual allowances include:

₹20,000 for Field Operation Engineers towards insurance and attire expenses
₹12,000 for Project Engineers towards insurance and related expenses

Contract Duration

Field Operation Engineers will be engaged initially for three years, extendable up to five years. Project Engineers will be engaged initially for three years, extendable up to four years based on performance and project requirements.

Selection Process

The selection process will involve pre-registered walk-in recruitment. Shortlisted candidates will undergo a written test carrying 85% weightage followed by an interview carrying 15% weightage. Candidates who qualify in the written test will be shortlisted for interviews in a 1:10 ratio.
