NLC India Limited Recruitment 2026 Notification Out – 8 Mining Posts

Neyveli/Chennai: NLC India Limited, a premier Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Government of India, has invited online applications for Mining Statutory positions (Group C posts) for its Barsingsar Project in Rajasthan. The recruitment drive is being conducted under Advertisement No. 09/2025.

The vacancies are for Junior Overman (Trainee) and Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I), with postings initially at Barsingsar Mines.

Vacancy Details

1. Junior Overman (Trainee) – S1 Grade

Pay Scale: ₹31,000 – ₹1,00,000

Reservation: UR–01, OBC–01, SC–01

2. Mining Sirdar (Selection Grade-I) – SG1 Grade

Pay Scale: ₹26,000 – ₹1,10,000
Total Posts: 05
Reservation: UR–02, OBC–01, SC–01, ST–01

The selected candidates will receive an attractive CTC of approximately ₹8.64 lakh per annum (S1 Grade) and ₹7.25 lakh per annum (SG1 Grade), along with medical benefits, insurance coverage, incentive schemes, and residential accommodation as per company rules.

Educational Qualification

For Junior Overman (Trainee):

Diploma in Mining/Mining Engineering (minimum 60% for UR/OBC-NCL and 50% for SC/ST)
Valid Overman’s Certificate of Competency from DGMS
Valid First Aid Certificate

For Mining Sirdar (SG-I):

Diploma/Degree (as specified) with DGMS-issued Mining Sirdar Certificate
Valid First Aid Certificate

Candidates must have proficiency in Hindi (local/regional language) and produce valid proof.

Age Limit (As on 01 February 2026)

UR: 30 years
OBC (NCL): 33 years
SC/ST: 35 years
Maximum age limit in all cases: 58 years (as per relaxation rules)

Age relaxation for reserved categories will be as per Government of India guidelines.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a Written Test (100 Marks) consisting of:

Part I: General Aptitude (30 questions)
Part II: Subject Knowledge (70 questions)

There will be no negative marking, and the duration of the exam will be 120 minutes.

Project Affected Persons (PAPs) of Barsingsar may receive 20 bonus marks, subject to eligibility conditions.

SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from application fee but must pay processing charges.

Posting & Medical Fitness

Selected candidates will initially be posted at Barsingsar Project, Rajasthan, but may be assigned anywhere in India or abroad under NLCIL operations. Appointment is subject to medical fitness as per Mines Rules, 1955.
