Axis Bank has made an important change in its senior management by appointing Anand Viswanathan as the new Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for a three-year term starting on January 1, 2026. He will take over from Amit Talgeri, whose second term ends on December 31, 2025.

In a regulatory filing to NSE and BSE under SEBI Regulation 30, the bank confirmed that Viswanathan, who is currently the Head of Market & Liquidity Risk, ERM & Model Risk, has more than twenty years of experience in financial markets, risk management, and structured products. He is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and is a rank-holder Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, and certified FRM professional.

 

Outgoing CRO Amit Talgeri will leave after completing his term and will be relieved from service on January 18, 2026. The bank has included his resignation letter as Annexure B in the exchange filing.

Axis Bank stated that the Board Meeting addressing these changes began at 3:00 PM and ended at 5:15 PM on November 26, 2025.

The disclosure has also been shared with the London Stock Exchange and Singapore Stock Exchange in line with listing requirements.
