Canara Bank set to Raise Rs 4,000 Crore via 10 Year Basel III Tier II Bonds
The public sector company Canara Bank has declared its plan to issue Basel III compliant Tier II bonds to raise Rs 4,000 crore. According to the bank, these bonds would have a 10-year duration with a call option after five years.
For the fiscal year 2024–2025, the bank's board had previously authorized capital raising through Basel III compliant Additional Tier I Bonds valued at Rs 4,000 crore and Tier II Bonds at Rs 4,500 crore.
