RBI to Hold Rs 32,000-Crore G-Sec Underwriting Auction on December 5
RBI announces underwriting auction for Rs 32,000 crore 6.48% GS 2035 on December 5, 2025. Primary Dealers to bid via the e-Kuber system.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced an underwriting auction for the sale (re-issue) of a Government Security worth Rs 32,000 crore, scheduled for December 05, 2025 (Friday).
The auction will cover the 6.48% GS 2035 security. Under the existing underwriting commitment framework, notified on November 14, 2007, the Minimum Underwriting Commitment (MUC) and the minimum bidding requirement under the Additional Competitive Underwriting (ACU) for each Primary Dealer (PD) are as follows:

The underwriting auction will follow the multiple-price based method. Eligible PDs may submit ACU auction bids electronically through the RBI’s e-Kuber system between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM on the auction day.
RBI stated that the underwriting commission will be credited directly to the current accounts of the respective PDs on the day the security is issued.
