ACC Approves Key Bureaucratic Changes: Suvasish Das Extension, MANAGE Charge, Bhaskar Repatriation
New Delhi, June 10, 2026: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) and the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) have issued multiple administrative orders concerning senior-level postings, tenure extensions, and cadre movements across central services.
Suvasish Das Gets Two-Year Extension in Ministry of Tourism
The ACC has approved the extension of central deputation tenure of Shri Suvasish Das, IFoS (Assam-Meghalaya cadre: 2005), who is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism.
His tenure has been extended by two years beyond June 6, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The decision ensures continuity in ongoing policy and administrative responsibilities within the ministry.
Bhaskar IRTS Repatriated to Parent Cadre
In another key order, the competent authority has approved the premature repatriation of Shri Bhaskar, IRTS (2010), who was serving as Director in the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
The repatriation has been granted on personal grounds with the provision of extended cooling-off, and the officer has been directed to immediately report back to his parent cadre.
Sanjay Kumar Agarwal Given Additional Charge of MANAGE Hyderabad
The ACC has also cleared an important additional responsibility in the agriculture sector.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, IAS (Bihar cadre: 2002), currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Director General (Joint Secretary level), National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad.
He will hold the charge for a period of six months from March 30, 2026, to September 29, 2026, or until the appointment of a regular incumbent, whichever is earlier.
