New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India has taken a significant step toward building a future-ready workforce by formally onboarding onto the iGOT Karmayogi platform — the Government of India's flagship digital learning infrastructure under Mission Karmayogi.

To mark this milestone, RailTel's Vigilance Department organised a dedicated workshop titled "Digital Learning and Capacity Building through iGOT Karmayogi" at the company's Corporate Office on June 10, 2026. Officers and employees from RailTel's regional offices and other units across the country joined the session through video conferencing — reflecting the organisation's pan-India reach and commitment to inclusive learning.

Who Conducted the Workshop

The session was led by two senior officials from Karmayogi Bharat, DoPT, Government of IndiaShri Kailash Bhatt, Chief Learning Officer and Additional CEO of Karmayogi Bharat, and Shri Shubham Gupta, Programme Manager and Nodal Officer for the Ministry of Railways at Karmayogi Bharat.

Their presence at a PSU-level onboarding workshop underscores the Ministry of Railways' active push to bring all its CPSEs into the iGOT ecosystem — making structured, government-mandated digital learning a standard part of organisational life across the railway sector.

What iGOT Karmayogi Is — and Why It Matters

The iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) Karmayogi platform is the digital backbone of Mission Karmayogi — India's national programme for civil services capacity building launched by the Government of India. The platform hosts a wide range of curated learning content covering governance, leadership, technology, ethics, domain expertise, and citizen service delivery.

While originally designed for IAS, IPS, and other central government officers, the platform has been progressively expanded to cover employees of Central Public Sector Enterprises — bringing structured competency development to thousands of PSU professionals who previously lacked access to government-grade learning infrastructure.

For RailTel — a Miniratna CPSE under the Ministry of Railways providing broadband, telecom, and digital services — access to iGOT Karmayogi means employees can now pursue continuous professional development through a nationally recognised platform, aligned with the government's broader vision of a competent, citizen-centric public workforce.

Key Takeaways from the Workshop

Participants were briefed on the platform's diverse learning resources, certification pathways, and its role in supporting competency mapping across organisational levels. The session emphasised how iGOT Karmayogi fits into the larger Mission Karmayogi framework — which aims to shift government and PSU capacity building from rule-based training to role-based, outcome-oriented learning.

The enthusiastic participation from RailTel offices spread across the country — joining via video conferencing — reflected the organisation's genuine commitment to building a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence through digital empowerment.

Vigilance Department's Role

It is notable that this workshop was organised by RailTel's Vigilance Department — not HR or Training. This reflects a broader understanding within government organisations that vigilance is not just about detecting wrongdoing, but also about building institutional capacity, ethical awareness, and professional competence — all of which iGOT Karmayogi directly supports.
