Deputation of Shri Vikas Goel, IRSE, to Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (UPMRCL)
The Ministry of Railways, Railway Board, has approved the deputation of Shri Vikas Goel, IRSE, currently serving as Sr. DEN/C/Lucknow, Northern Railway, to the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (UPMRCL).
New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways, Railway Board, has approved the deputation of Shri Vikas Goel, IRSE, currently serving as Sr. DEN/C/Lucknow, Northern Railway, to the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (UPMRCL).
As per the communication issued under letter No. 2025/E(O)II/7/83, Shri Goel has been selected for the post of Chief Engineer (Civil) in UPMRCL. His deputation will be governed by the usual terms—parent pay plus deputation allowance—for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The Railway Board has requested Northern Railway to relieve Shri Goel to enable him to assume his new assignment. The date of relief is to be communicated back to the Board. The order further clarifies that in line with DoP&T O.M. dated March 22, 2023, the officer will be deemed relieved upon completion of the approved deputation period unless an official extension is issued beforehand.
The communication has also been shared with the Managing Director, UPMRCL, various senior officials of the Railway Board, and the officer concerned.
This deputation marks another collaboration between the Indian Railways and state-level metro corporations towards strengthening urban mobility infrastructure with experienced railway engineers.
