Manipal University Jaipur Hosts International Conference on Socially Conscious Built Environment
Manipal University Jaipur organised the two-day International Conference on Socially Conscious Built Environment (SCBE 2025), bringing together global experts to discuss sustainable, equitable and resilient design.

Manipal University Jaipur proudly hosted the International Conference on Socially Conscious Built Environment (SCBE 2025), a two-day convergence of researchers, practitioners, educators, and students committed to reimagining the built environment for a more just, sustainable, and resilient future.
SCBE 2025 was organised by the School of Architecture and Design, Manipal University Jaipur, in collaboration with MSAP MAHE Manipal and MAHE Dubai.
The conference featured inspiring keynote sessions by distinguished speakers:
• Prof. Bharat Dahiya, Director, Research Center for Sustainable Development and Innovation, School of Global Studies, Thammasat University, Bangkok, who spoke on Sustainable Materials and the Circular Economy.
• Ar. Yatin Pandya, Principal Architect, Footprints E.A.R.T.H, Ahmedabad, India, who addressed Ecological Design and Sustainable Futures.
• Dr. Anjali Krishan Sharma, Principal Architect, ARC Consultancy, and Professor of Architecture and Sustainable Urbanism, Shimla, India, who spoke on Social Consciousness in the Built Environment.
• Prof. Thomas Spiegelhalter, Professor, Department of Architecture, College of Arts, Sciences and Education, Florida International University, who delivered a keynote on Biomimicry and Nature-Inspired Innovation.
Across paper presentations, panel discussions and studio-led explorations, conversations spanned ecological design and sustainable futures, intelligent and energy-efficient architecture, social inclusivity and equity, sustainable materials and circular construction practices, and bio-inspired design strategies.
