Government promotes two IRS (C&IT) officers as Principal CC & DG

On Monday, the Centre empanelled and promoted two senior officers from the 1990 batch of the Indian Revenue Service (C&IT) to the positions of Principal Chief Commissioner and Principal Director General of Customs and Indirect Taxes (Apex Scale).
However, their regular postings will be determined later, pending approval from the Competent Authority. In the meantime, they have been instructed to take charge of their promoted positions on an in-situ basis. The names of the officers are as follows:
Raj Kumar (IRS C&IT: 1990)—Service terms till 27.07.1968
Valte Vungzamuan (IRS C&IT: 1990)—Service terms till 01.03.1967
