IAS officer, Pawan Yadav appointed as new Private Secretary to Home Minister Amit Shah
At Present, he has been serving as Deputy Secretary in the MHA since July 2024. He takes Saket Kumar's post (IAS: 2009: BH).
The government has announced the curtailment of the tenure of Pawan Yadav (IAS: 2014: MN) as Deputy Secretary and has been appointed as the new Private Secretary to Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Amit Shah in MHA for a period up to 02.04.2027.
At Present, he has been serving as Deputy Secretary in the MHA since July 2024. He takes Saket Kumar's post (IAS: 2009: BH). The appointment of Saket Kumar as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce vacated the position of PS to Union Home Minister vacant last week. Meanwhile, for his exemplary service as District Collector (Bishnupur), he has been honored with the Prime Minister Award.
He was honoured on Civil Service Day (2018) for a 360-degree approach in supporting and popularising the Government's aim of cashless and digital financial transactions i.e., the Digital Payments mission.
