Centre Re-designates Neeraj Kumar Singh as Director-Level Private Secretary to MoS Jitin Prasada

NEW DELHI: The Government of India has approved the re-designation of Shri Neeraj Kumar Singh, IAS (MP:2012) as Private Secretary at Director level to the Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Jitin Prasada.

According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, the post held by Shri Singh has been upgraded from Deputy Secretary level to Director level in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The decision takes effect from the date he assumes charge of the re-designated position.

The upgraded assignment will remain in force until 29 September 2030, or on a co-terminus basis with the tenure of the Minister, or until Shri Singh ceases to serve as the Minister’s Private Secretary, or until further orders — whichever occurs first.

The order also notes that Shri Singh’s central deputation tenure commenced on 30 September 2025.

The approval was granted by the competent authority following a proposal from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
