New Delhi, February 20, 2026: The Government of India, through the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), has approved the premature repatriation of Shri Sanjiv Shankar, IRS (IT: 1993), who was serving as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, to his parent cadre.

This repatriation has been approved to enable Shri Shankar to avail the benefits of promotion in his cadre. The decision was issued under No. 36/02/2026-EO(SM-I) and signed by Sakshi Mittal, Director, DoPT.
