NHPC Showcases Major Hydropower Projects on Arunachal Pradesh 40th Statehood Day

Arunachal Pradesh, February 20, 2026: National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) actively participated in the State function celebrating the 40th Statehood Day of Arunachal Pradesh at IG Park, showcasing its major hydropower projects at the pavilion of the Department of Hydro Power Development.

NHPC presented detailed information on its flagship projects, including:

  • Dibang Multipurpose Project – 2880 MW

  • Subansiri Multipurpose Project – 2000 MW

  • Kamala Hydro Electric Project – 1720 MW

  • Upper Siang Multipurpose Project – 11,600 MW

The exhibits highlighted the benefits of these projects for the State and local communities, focusing on power generation, infrastructure development, and sustainable socio-economic impact.

Dignitary Visits and Appreciation

The pavilion was visited by senior dignitaries, including:

  • Shri Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, Hon’ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh

  • Shri Pema Khadu, Hon’ble Chief Minister

  • Shri Chowna Mein, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister

  • Shri Tapir Gao, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha)

  • Shri Manish Kumar Gupta, Chief Secretary, Government of Arunachal Pradesh

  • Shri S.D. Singh Jamwal, Director General of Police

Additionally, Hon’ble MLAs, Commissioners, and senior officials of the State Government visited the pavilion.
