New Delhi: Two high-profile bureaucrats, K Vijay Kumar, a retired IPS officer of 1975 batch of Tamil Nadu cadre and former Under Secretary in the Union Home Ministry RVS Mani has been bestowed with the highest civilian award of Padma Shri. K Vijay Kumar led the operation to end the terror of extreme apprehension of brigand Veerappan under the Operation Cocoon and RVS Mani has exposed the Hindu Terror boggy by presenting an insider account.

A Former Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), K Vijay Kumar who headed the Tamil Nadu Police Special Task Force (STF) that killed Veerappan, has retired from service in 2012. Mr. Kumar now based in Bengaluru and Chennai is renowned for his expertise in jungle warfare and counter-insurgency and is being awarded to carry-out the strategic policing and major operations against Naxals and Veerappan.

RVS Mani, who is a former Under Secretary in the Union Ministry of Home Affairs was also chosen for Padma Shri on the special occasion of Republic Day. The Book titled Hindu Terror: Insider account of Ministry of Home Affairs exposes the Hindu Terror narrative, written by RVS Mani.
