BEL's Ghaziabad Unit Donates 20 E-Vehicles to Ayodhya
Ayodhya, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU, has given 20 electric garbage collection vehicles to the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation. This initiative is part of BEL's efforts to support sustainable urban development.
The e-vehicles were officially handed over during a ceremony attended by Mr. Vikraman N, Director of HR at BEL; Mr. Jitendra Singh, GM of DCCS at BEL-Ghaziabad; Mr. Girish Pati Tripathi, the Hon’ble Mayor of Ayodhya; and Mr. Jayendra Kumar, the Municipal Commissioner.
These eco-friendly vehicles aim to improve Ayodhya's solid waste management system. The main benefits of the e-vehicles include:
Eco-friendly: They are battery-operated with zero carbon emissions.
Low Cost: They are cheaper to operate than traditional vehicles.
Noise-free: Their quiet operation reduces noise pollution.
Efficient: Their compact size lets them navigate narrow streets for door-to-door collection.
Sustainable: This initiative supports the Government's "Swachh Bharat Mission" and promotes electric mobility.
This donation shows BEL's dedication to social responsibility and environmental sustainability.
