GRID India CSR Initiative Empowers Divyangjan in Telangana with Assistive Devices
New Delhi: GRID India continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to social responsibility and inclusive development through its latest Corporate Social Responsibility initiative in Telangana.
In collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India ALIMCO and the District Administration Wanaparthy, GRID India supported the distribution of assistive devices to Divyangjan in Wanaparthy district. The initiative aimed at improving mobility independence and quality of life for differently abled individuals at the grassroots level.
The programme was attended by Shri Chenna Reddy Vice Chairman State Planning Commission Telangana Shri Ardash Surabhi IAS District Collector Wanaparthy and Shri M K Ramesh Executive Director SRLDC GRID India along with officials from GRID India and ALIMCO.
As part of the distribution electric battery operated tricycles walking aids and other essential assistive equipment were provided to beneficiaries enabling them to participate more actively in social and economic life.
This CSR initiative reflects GRID India’s long term vision of building inclusive communities by empowering vulnerable sections of society. Through partnerships with government bodies public sector organisations and social welfare agencies GRID India continues to drive sustainable development and positive change at the community level.
