NHPC Teesta-V Power Station Supports Education in Sikkim with CSR Initiative
New Delhi: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development Programme 2025-26, NHPC Teesta-V Power Station has provided a Public Address System to the Government Senior Secondary School, Lingee, in South Sikkim, strengthening educational infrastructure in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Jitendra Kumar, Executive Director and Head of Teesta-V Power Station, said that CSR activities represent an investment in public welfare, with a special focus on empowering children through education and skill development.
The school’s Principal expressed gratitude to NHPC Teesta-V Power Station and described the initiative as a significant step towards supporting schools in remote villages and improving the learning environment for students.
This initiative reflects NHPC’s continued commitment as a leading public sector undertaking (PSU) towards community development, inclusive growth and sustainable progress, particularly in geographically challenging regions.
