The event aims to provide students, educators, industry professionals and the general public an immersive experience of the institute’s research ecosystem, technology innovation and advanced laboratory infrastructure.
During the three-day event, IIT Madras will open access to its research laboratories, innovation centres and student project facilities, enabling visitors to explore a wide range of scientific and technological work. The previous edition of the event drew strong participation from students, particularly from Chennai and nearby rural districts.

This edition will showcase around 80 exhibition stalls featuring projects developed by students and researchers, along with live demonstrations and innovation showcases. Attendees will also be able to visit more than 100 state-of-the-art laboratories, including National Research Centres and Centres of Excellence. Welcoming participants, Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, said the initiative reflects the vision of “Anaivarukkum IITM – IIT Madras for All”, aimed at encouraging students from diverse backgrounds, including rural communities, to pursue higher education and research careers.
