New Delhi:  China’s State Council announced a series of official appointments and removals on Wednesday, marking key leadership changes across national institutions and major universities.

According to the announcement, Zhang Li has been appointed as assistant minister of commerce.

Ma Huaide has been named president of Renmin University of China in Beijing, at the vice ministerial level, replacing Lin Shangli.

In another senior-level change, Hu Wenping has been appointed president of Xiamen University in Fujian Province, also at the vice ministerial level, succeeding Zhang Zongyi.

The State Council also confirmed the removal of Dong Xin from the post of deputy director of the National Radio and Television Administration.

These personnel adjustments form part of the government’s ongoing administrative restructuring and leadership rotation across key sectors.
