TCS and AMD Partner to Launch ‘Helios’ Rack-Scale AI Infrastructure in India
California | Mumbai, India – February 16, 2026:
Tata Consultancy Services Limited (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) has expanded its strategic collaboration with Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ: AMD) to bring AMD’s state-of-the-art ‘Helios’ rack-scale AI architecture to India.
Under the partnership, TCS—through its subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center Limited—and AMD will co-develop a rack-scale AI infrastructure design based on the AMD “Helios” platform. The initiative aims to support India’s national AI ambitions and accelerate large-scale AI deployments across enterprises.
Powered by Next-Gen AMD Technologies
The ‘Helios’ platform is built on:
-
AMD Instinct™ MI455X GPUs
-
AMD EPYC™ “Venice” CPUs
-
AMD Pensando™ Vulcano NICs
-
ROCm™ open software ecosystem
The architecture is purpose-built to deliver a rack-scale AI platform capable of supporting sovereign AI factories and high-performance AI workloads.
As part of the collaboration, TCS and AMD will provide an AI-ready data center blueprint supporting up to 200 MW of capacity, working with hyperscalers and AI companies to accelerate AI data center build-outs in India.
Leadership Commentary
Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD, stated that AI adoption is moving from pilot programs to full-scale enterprise deployment, requiring a new compute infrastructure blueprint. She said “Helios” is designed to deliver performance, efficiency, and long-term flexibility.
K. Krithivasan, MD & CEO of TCS, said the collaboration establishes AMD’s first Helios-powered AI infrastructure in India. He added that the partnership strengthens TCS’ participation across the AI ecosystem—from infrastructure to intelligence.
Role of HyperVault
TCS established HyperVault in 2025 to build secure, AI-ready infrastructure at gigawatt scale for hyperscalers, AI companies, and global enterprises. The Helios initiative builds on the recent TCS–AMD strategic collaboration focused on scaling AI adoption and modernizing hybrid IT environments.
