Union Savings Bank Names Joseph Morrissey EVP of Commercial Lending
New Delhi: Union Savings Bank has announced the promotion of Joseph Morrissey to Executive Vice President of Commercial Lending. In his new role, Morrissey will lead all aspects of the bank’s commercial lending operations, including business lending and commercial real estate.
As a member of the bank’s Executive Management Team, Morrissey will report directly to the president and CEO. His responsibilities include serving on the Trustee Loan Committee and the Asset & Liability Committee, overseeing the bank’s interest rate swap portfolio, chairing the Management Loan Committee, and continuing as the bank’s senior environmental review officer.
Chelen Reyes, president and CEO of Union Savings Bank, praised Morrissey’s contributions, saying, “Joe has been an integral part of Union Savings Bank’s success for more than two decades. His expertise in commercial lending, strong leadership, and dedication to clients and the community make him the ideal leader for this important division.”
Morrissey has over 30 years of experience in banking and has been with Union Savings Bank since 2000, holding progressively senior roles. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Department Head of Commercial Services, managing all commercial business and commercial real estate lending.
He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut and a BA in Economics from Fordham University, New York.
A resident of Newtown, Morrissey is actively involved in the community. He serves as a trustee for the Regional YMCA, is on the board of Family & Children’s Aid, and participates in organizations including the Housatonic Industrial Development Corporation and the Real Estate Finance Association in Stamford and Hartford. He has also contributed to the Regional Hospice, American Red Cross, Immaculate High School, and St. Rose School.
