HUDCO Signs ₹1 Lakh Crore MoU with Chhattisgarh Government
New Delhi: Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO), a leading public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has signed a major Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Chhattisgarh to provide financial assistance of up to ₹1,00,000 crore over the next five years for housing and infrastructure development in the state.
The MoU was signed on January 7, 2026, at Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, marking one of the largest financing commitments by a PSU towards state-level urban and infrastructure projects.
Under this non-binding agreement, HUDCO will extend funding support for a wide range of housing and infrastructure initiatives, aimed at accelerating urban development, improving public amenities, and strengthening economic growth across the state.
The collaboration aligns with the government’s broader vision of enhancing affordable housing, urban connectivity, and sustainable infrastructure while boosting employment generation and regional development.
HUDCO, known for its extensive role in financing urban infrastructure, smart cities, and affordable housing projects across India, continues to strengthen its partnership with state governments to support nation-building and inclusive growth.
