NHPC signs pact with RVUNL, Govt of Rajasthan for Renewable Energy Projects

New Delhi: Hydropower giant PSU, NHPC Ltd signed an MOU with RVUNL, Govt of Rajasthan for the developement of Pumped Storage and other Renewable Energy Projects in the State of Rajasthan in Joint Venture mode. Two Pumped Storage projects 1000 MW each are being considered for development in first phase.

The MOU has been signed by Sh Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical), NHPC and Sh Devendra Shringi, CMD, RVUNL in the august presence of Smt Arti Dogra, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary (Energy) and Chairman (Discoms), Govt. of Rajasthan along with ED (SBD&C), NHPC and other senior officers from State Govt. and NHPC.
