Oil India Joins Hands with CSIR to Develop Next-Generation Energy Technologies
New Delhi June 15: In a significant move aimed at strengthening India's energy technology ecosystem, state-run Oil India Limited (OIL) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to drive collaborative research and innovation across key areas of the energy sector.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed at OIL House in Noida, seeks to combine the technological expertise of CSIR with Oil India's operational experience to develop advanced and cost-effective solutions for both conventional and emerging energy businesses.
Focus on Oil, Gas, Renewable Energy and Critical Minerals
The collaboration will cover a wide range of strategic areas, including upstream and downstream oil and gas operations, hydrocarbon reservoir optimization, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), renewable energy, sustainable energy practices and critical minerals.
Senior officials from both organizations, including the Chairman and Managing Director of Oil India and the Director General of CSIR, were present during the signing ceremony. The Managing Director of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and directors of OIL also attended the event.
