Coal Ministry Launches 139 FMC Projects to Revolutionize Sustainable Coal Transport
New Delhi: The Ministry of Coal, Government of India, has announced significant progress in improving coal transportation through its First Mile Connectivity (FMC) initiative. A total of 139 FMC projects have been launched, of which 65 projects with a total capacity of 552 million tonnes have already been commissioned.
These projects are designed to modernize coal transport, reduce environmental impact, and enhance operational efficiency across India’s coal supply chain.
