Under this partnership, NIFTEM-K has been selected as a Project Implementing Agency (PIA) to deliver skill development programs for youth from minority communities. The initiative focuses on providing need-based skill training and ensuring employment and livelihood opportunities. NIFTEM-K is among the few Institutes of National Importance (INI) chosen for this important role.

Training 2,110 Beneficiaries Across Four States

As part of the project, NIFTEM-K will train 2,110 beneficiaries under three key job categories:

  • Multi Skill Technician (Food Processing)

  • Millet Products Processor

  • Assistant Baking Technician

The training programs will be conducted across seven locations in Jharkhand, Bihar, Punjab, and Haryana. The goal is to improve employability, provide market and credit linkages, and help beneficiaries become part of the economic mainstream.

Certified Skills and Job Opportunities

All training will follow the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and will be delivered through NCVET-approved courses. Beneficiaries will receive certification from institutions approved by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and NCVET.

The program will also support job placement in wage employment, self-employment, and apprenticeship, including opportunities in the organized sector.

The implementation of the project is scheduled to begin in January 2026.
