Central Bank of India has appointed Shri E. Ratan Kumar as Executive Director for a three-year term beginning November 24, 2025.

Mumbai, November 25, 2025: The Central Bank of India has announced the appointment of Shri E. Ratan Kumar as the Executive Director on the Board of the Bank. The appointment has been approved by the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India through notification number eF No. 4/4(ii)/2024-BO.I dated November 24, 2025.
Shri Ratan Kumar will serve for a tenure of three years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He assumed office on 24 November 2025.
Professional Background
Shri E. Ratan Kumar is a B.E. in Computer Science from Allahabad University and holds an M.Tech from Hyderabad University, along with a Master of Financial Management from NMIMS, Mumbai University.
He began his banking career with the Central Bank of India in 1997 and carries around 35 years of diversified experience across banking and IT. He has served in key leadership roles including Senior Regional Manager, Zonal Manager (Hyderabad Zone), and Chief General Manager from June 1, 2025 to November 24, 2025.
The bank confirmed that he has no inter-se relationship with any board members and is not debarred by SEBI or any authority from holding the position.
