FSIB Recommends Shri S Sivasankar for post of ED in NIACL
The Financial Services Institutions Bureau has recommended the name for the position of ED in NIACL and has interfaced with 3 candidates from various non-life public sector insurance companies on December 03, 2025 for the position of Executive Director (ED) in New India Assurance Company Ltd. (NIACL).
New Delhi: The Financial Services Institutions Bureau has recommended the name for the position of ED in NIACL and has interfaced with 3 candidates from various non-life public sector insurance companies on December 03, 2025 for the position of Executive Director (ED) in New India Assurance Company Ltd. (NIACL).
Currently, he was serving as General Manager at National Insurance Corporation Ltd (NICL).
Therefore, keeping in view their performance in the interface, their overall experience and the extant parameters, the Bureau recommends Shri S Sivasankar for the position of ED in NIACL.
The post of ED in NIACL will fall vacant after the retirement of Smita Srivastava retires on Dec 31. The apex hunting body has interfaced with three candidates, Chandra Iyer, GM at NIACL, V. Balkrishna, GM at GIC Re and S Sivasankar.
