New Delhi/Bengaluru, November 28, 2025: The Ministry of Railways has formally approved a significant leadership move, appointing an experienced railway technocrat, Mr. Lakshman Singh (IRSE), as the new Managing Director (MD) of the Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Ltd. (K-RIDE).
This appointment is a major positive step, as K-RIDE is the joint venture responsible for the crucial Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP), which has faced significant delays and a prolonged search for a full-time technical head. Sources indicate this move is expected to accelerate the BSRP's progress by bringing in an expert in the field.
