Shri Ashok Kumar Appointed Joint General Manager (Mech) at DFCCIL on Deputation
New Delhi, 5 March 2026: The Ministry of Railways has approved the deputation of Shri Ashok Kumar, IRSME, currently serving as Dy. CME/Planning at Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), Guwahati, to the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL).
Shri Ashok Kumar has been selected for the position of Joint General Manager (Mechanical) at DFCCIL’s Corporate Office in Noida. His deputation will be on standard terms, i.e., parent pay plus deputation allowance, for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This appointment is subject to government approval for exemption from the rule of immediate absorption into DFCCIL.
The officer will be relieved from his current duties at NFR to assume the new assignment, and the date of relief will be communicated to the Railway Board. The notification was issued under the signature of Roshan Kumari Menna, Under Secretary/D, Railway Board.
DFCCIL, a government enterprise responsible for developing dedicated freight corridors across India, will now benefit from Shri Kumar’s expertise in mechanical engineering and railway planning, supporting its infrastructure expansion and operational efficiency.
Copies of the order were circulated to senior officials across the Ministry of Railways, DFCCIL, and concerned divisions, ensuring smooth administrative coordination for the deputation.
