BEML supports the launch of BWWF to elevate Women in PSUs

Bengaluru: In a pioneering initiative to empower women within Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), BEML Ltd. proudly supports the launch of BEML Women’s Welfare Forum (BWWF). Officially inaugurated today in Bangalore, this innovative, women-led forum is set to support women employees and the spouses of PSU workers across India. With the newly established office near BEML’s Bangalore complex, the forum will act as a dynamic hub where women can connect, develop market-oriented skills, and get access to essential resources to launch and grow their businesses, preparing them for future challenges.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Ms. Kshama Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Command Center, Bengaluru; Shri Shantanu Roy, CMD of BEML; functional directors of BEML; and distinguished women dignitaries from various PSUs. The premises were also inaugurated by Shri Shantanu Roy, Mrs. Piyali Roy, and other esteemed women leaders.

Building on BEML’s legacy of indigenization and innovation, BWWF aims to nurture the next generation of indigenous brands. The forum will offer a diverse range of programs, including:

BWWF aims to engage members from BEML’s manufacturing complexes in Palakkad, KGF, Bangalore, and Mysuru, underscoring the company’s commitment to creating impactful opportunities for women in the public sector. Aligned with BEML’s core values of innovation, sustainability, and leadership, this forum is poised to become a cornerstone of women’s advancement within PSUs.
Smt. Piyali Roy, Chief Patron of BWWF, expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “The BEML Women’s Welfare Forum is dedicated to creating a platform where every woman in PSUs can achieve her aspirations. Our mission is to build a dynamic community where women can thrive, innovate, and lead with confidence. We are excited to champion this initiative and look forward to its significant positive impact on the women of BEML and beyond. To launch this transformative journey, we are organizing the ‘BWWF Mela,’ where our women members will showcase their products and services. We anticipate over 1,000 attendees to support and promote this event.” She added, “We also plan to collaborate with Bangalore-based DPSUs such as HAL and BEL, and other PSUs, to expand our mission nationally”. The launch of BWWF marks a significant milestone in BEML’s ongoing commitment to inclusiveness and growth, providing women with the resources and opportunities needed to excel both professionally and personally.
