Review of construction work of Parbati-II project by CMD, NHPC
Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC, during his visit to 800 MW NHPC Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project on 20.01.2022, reviewed the remaining construction work of the project and gave necessary directions for timely completion of the project.

NEW DELHI- Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC, during his visit to 800 MW NHPC Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project on 20.01.2022, reviewed the remaining construction work of the project and gave necessary directions for timely completion of the project.
At present, 348 million units of electricity is being generated annually by this project, while on completion of the construction work, this project will generate 3124 million units of electricity annually.
Since, after the generation of electricity from the Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project, water is drained into the reservoir of Parvati-III Power Station, the annual electricity from Parbati-III Power Station will also be generated as soon as Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project is fully operational.
Production will increase to 1963 million units from the present 701 million units.
