NTPC-PMI hosted HE Mr. Osman Saleh Mohammed, Foreign Minister of the State of Eritrea, HE Mr. Yemane Gebreab Woldeyohannes Advisor to the President of Eritrea, HE Mr Alem Tsehaye Woldermariam, Ambassador of Eritrea and Mr Ahmed Saeed Ibrahim First Secretary along with officials from the Ministry of External Affairs in the campus as part of exploring the possibility of joint cooperation with NTPC

Foreign Minister of State of Eritrea and Advisor to President visit at NTPC Dadri and PMI

New Delhi: NTPC-PMI hosted H.E. Mr. Osman Saleh Mohammed, Foreign Minister of the State of Eritrea, H.E. Mr. Yemane Gebreab Woldeyohannes Advisor to the President of Eritrea, H.E. Mr. Alem Tsehaye Woldermariam, Ambassador of Eritrea and Mr. Ahmed Saeed Ibrahim First Secretary along with officials from the Ministry of External Affairs in the campus as part of exploring the possibility of joint cooperation with NTPC. The occasion was graced by Shri C K Mondol, Director(Commercial) along with Shri N M Gupta, CGM(IBD), and Shri R K Sinha, GM (CBE & PMI).

 

Director (Commercial) shared the vast experience of NTPC in setting up 65.8 GW of Coal, Gas, Solar, Hydro & Wind Power Plants and Capability of PMI in building Skill Strength in the various domains of Power Sector. He further informed that NTPC will be interested in exploring business opportunities with the State of Eritrea on BOO/BOOT models for Solar Projects within the G2G ambit. He also expressed that NTPC is interested to play a role as PMC to support Eritrea in the development of their Solar Power projects.

 

The dignitaries were shown videos showcasing the capabilities of PMI and NTPC as a whole.  They also took a round of the PMI campus and appreciated its various learning facilities and teaching aids. They also had hands-on experience of training by leveraging Virtual Reality (VR) Modules and 360 Deg 3D Video.

 

Addressing the gathering, His Excellency Foreign Minister expressed his compliments for the state-of-art infrastructural facilities and the user-friendly learning environment at PMI. He also expressed interest in getting the Power Sector personnel of Eritrea trained in PMI to enhance their technical and Management Capabilities. The visit is one step forward towards joint collaboration among NTPC and Eritrea.
