New Delhi: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) will hold its 45th Annual General Meeting today, 31 August 2026, at 11:00 a.m. through Video Conferencing. The Chairman’s speech for the AGM has been released, highlighting the company’s strongest operational and financial performance since inception.

Record Operational Performance

In FY 2025-26, NALCO achieved its highest-ever production across several key parameters:

  • Bauxite excavation: 77.01 lakh tonnes

  • Alumina hydrate production: 23.00 lakh tonnes

  • Calcined alumina production: 22.75 lakh tonnes

  • Aluminium cast metal production: 4.72 lakh tonnes

  • Coal production (Utkal-D&E): 40.00 lakh tonnes

  • Net power generation: 6,953 million units

Total alumina sales stood at 14.46 lakh tonnes and aluminium metal sales at 4.74 lakh tonnes.

Strong Financial Results

The company reported its highest-ever figures on the financial front as well:

  • Revenue from operations: ₹17,843 crore (up 6% YoY)

  • EBITDA: ₹8,613 crore (up 9% YoY)

  • Profit Before Tax: ₹7,767 crore (up 9% YoY)

  • Profit After Tax: ₹5,816 crore (up 9% YoY)

 

Dividend

NALCO paid an interim dividend of ₹10.50 per equity share (₹1,928.46 crore) in three tranches during the year. A final dividend of ₹1.00 per equity share (₹183.66 crore) has been recommended for shareholders’ approval. Total dividend for FY 2025-26 works out to ₹11.50 per share, amounting to ₹2,112.12 crore.

Growth Projects and Future Outlook

The 5th Stream Expansion of the Alumina Refinery at Damanjodi (adding 1 million tonnes per annum capacity) is progressing well, with production expected to stabilise in Q4 of FY 2026-27. The Pottangi Bauxite Mines and other capacity expansion initiatives are also on track.

The company continues to focus on critical minerals, red mud utilisation, high-purity alumina, digital transformation, renewable energy and sustainability.
