Government Appoints Government Nominee Director on Board of BEML Limited

She played a lead role as a PMU member in establishing a super specialty hospital for the Paramilitary National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.

The President of India has appointed Nishtha Upadhya as the Government Nominee Director of the BEML Board.

As per the exchange filing made by the company,   under Article 97 of the Articles of Association of the Company, the President of India has appointed Smt Nishtha Upadhyay as Government Nominee Director (Part Time Official Director) on the Board of Directors of the Company in place of Shri Rajeev Prakash.

 Smt Nishtha Upadhyay qualified Indian Civil Services Examination in 1999 and was inducted into the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS). She is currently serving as Joint Secretary (Training) and Finance Manager (Land Systems) in the Ministry of Defence. The responsibility involves analysis, scrutiny, and processing concurrence for cases for AON for land System capital acquisition, contract conclusion, post contract management. Smt Upadhyay has served as Financial Advisor to Indo-Tibetan border police (ITBP), SSB, SPG, NDRF, CISF, and other Paramilitary forces.

 As the head of the Finance of various paramilitary forces, she was responsible for Budget Management in compliance with regulatory frameworks as laid down by the government, and rendering financial advice after appraisal of proposals of the organisation for effective delivery of the intended outcome of the Government’s policy.

She has also served as an Additional Integrated Financial Advisor to the Integrated Headquarters of the Navy, Ministry of Defence. Smt Nishtha Upadhyay is not have any inter-se relationship among the Directors of the Company.
