Government Appoints Government Nominee Director on Board of BEML Limited
She played a lead role as a PMU member in establishing a super specialty hospital for the Paramilitary National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.
The President of India has appointed Nishtha Upadhya as the Government Nominee Director of the BEML Board.
As per the exchange filing made by the company, under Article 97 of the Articles of Association of the Company, the President of India has appointed Smt Nishtha Upadhyay as Government Nominee Director (Part Time Official Director) on the Board of Directors of the Company in place of Shri Rajeev Prakash.

She is currently serving as Joint Secretary (Training) and Finance Manager (Land Systems) in the Ministry of Defence. The responsibility involves analysis, scrutiny, and processing concurrence for cases for AON for land System capital acquisition, contract conclusion, post contract management. Smt Upadhyay has served as Financial Advisor to Indo-Tibetan border police (ITBP), SSB, SPG, NDRF, CISF, and other Paramilitary forces.

She has also served as an Additional Integrated Financial Advisor to the Integrated Headquarters of the Navy, Ministry of Defence. Smt Nishtha Upadhyay is not have any inter-se relationship among the Directors of the Company.
