New Delhi: The Indian Navy and the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding to conduct the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) for recruitment of Agniveer (SSR and MR) and SSR (Medical) personnel.
The MoU was signed in New Delhi with the objective of strengthening transparency, credibility and fairness in the Navy’s recruitment process through a structured and technology-driven examination system.
Under the agreement, SSC will conduct the INET on an all-India basis in online mode, ensuring representation from all 28 States and 8 Union Territories. The examination will be administered using the latest examination technologies and will be closely monitored through artificial intelligence and other advanced tools to ensure integrity and efficiency.
The collaboration between the two premier government institutions is expected to bring greater standardisation and robustness to the recruitment process for the Indian Navy, particularly under the Agniveer scheme.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Shri S Gopalkrishnan, IAS, Chairman of the Staff Selection Commission, and Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh, Chief of Personnel, Indian Navy. Senior officers from both organisations were also present on the occasion.
The Indian Navy stated that the partnership with SSC will help streamline the recruitment process while maintaining the highest standards of transparency, fairness and technological reliability.
