NMDC CMD Shri Sumit Deb appointed as new Chairman of MEAI, Hyderabad chapter

New Delhi: Mining Engineers' Association of India (MEAI) has elected Chairman & Managing Director of NMDC Limited Shri Sumit Deb as the new Chairman of the association. The Association has also selected Ms. Venkata Ramaiah, the retired General Manager of Singareni and professor of Malla Reddy College of Engineering as the Vice-Chairman. Shri Dev has been serving as CMD of NMDC Limited since 1 August 2020.

Shri Deb is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneshwar. Prior to joining NMDC Limited, he was serving Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL). He joined as a Management Trainee and worked with RINL for about 25 years accumulating rich and diverse experience in the steel industry. 

He has worked in different regions of the country, dealing with a heterogeneous mix of both external as well as internal customers and handling the domains of HR, marketing & distribution.
