JSW Energy Surpasses 15 GW Capacity Milestone; Adds 1,572 MW in FY27
New Delhi:JSW Energy Limited has crossed the 15 GW installed capacity milestone.
The company’s total operational capacity now stands at 15,025 MW after commissioning 1,572 MW of generation capacity since April 2026.
This milestone was achieved in under six quarters after the company crossed 10 GW in March 2025, reflecting a CAGR of approximately 26%.

– Hybrid: 420 MW

Inorganic Thermal: 300 MW
Renewable energy now constitutes over 60% (9,067 MW) of the company’s operational portfolio.
Growth Pipeline
JSW Energy has a total locked-in generation capacity of 32.4 GW (15.0 GW operational + 13.4 GW under construction) along with a 4.0 GW pipeline.
Locked-in energy storage capacity stands at 29.6 GWh.
The company remains on track to meet its greenfield capacity addition target of 3 GW for FY 2027 (approximately 42% achieved so far).
Long-term targets include 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage by 2030, and carbon neutrality by 2050.
