New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has invited applications for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of National Seeds Corporation Limited (NSC), a Schedule B Mini Ratna CPSE under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

Who can apply?

The post is open to eligible candidates from CPSEs, Central Government, public sector banks and financial institutions, autonomous bodies, State PSEs and qualifying private companies/JVs/federations, subject to the conditions specified by PESB.

Candidates should generally be Engineering Graduates, Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants, Postgraduates or Graduates with MBA/PGDIM from a recognised institution.

Applicants must also have the required professional experience, including at least five years of cumulative experience/exposure during the last 10 years in areas such as finance, business development, production, operations, marketing or project management in a large organisation.

Agriculture-sector experience will be given preference.

NSC was established to promote and develop India’s seed industry and support farmers through the supply of quality seeds and related agro-inputs and services.

The company operates under the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Its registered and corporate offices are in New Delhi.

As of March 31, 2026, the Government of India held 100% of NSC’s share capital, while the company had 1,090 regular employees.

Application deadline

Candidates must submit their applications online through the PESB website. The last date for applicants is September 23, 2026, at 3 PM.

Applications from eligible candidates, except private-company applicants, must subsequently be forwarded through the prescribed channel by the concerned nodal or competent authority by October 5, 2026, at 5 PM.
