Torrent Green Energy Commissions 322 MWp Solar Projects Across Nashik

Ahmedabad, September 8, 2026: Torrent Green Energy Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Torrent Power Limited, has commissioned 322 MWp of ground-mounted decentralized solar power projects across Nashik district, Maharashtra, under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0.

The projects have been developed across 50 locations covering 14 talukas of Nashik district. The initiative is part of feeder-level solarisation under Component-C of the PM-KUSUM scheme.

Power generated from the projects will be supplied to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under 25-year Power Purchase Agreements.

The decentralized solar plants are intended to supply power to rural agricultural feeders during the daytime, supporting electricity availability for farmers while helping improve grid efficiency and reduce distribution losses.
