President Murmu Himachal Visit | VP at Andhra University | Sikkim Statehood Projects Worth ₹4,000 Cr
India witnessed a series of key governance and development engagements on April 27, 2026, highlighting national leadership outreach, infrastructure expansion, and long-term digital policy planning.
The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, began a five-day official visit to Himachal Pradesh. The visit is expected to include interactions with state leadership, participation in official functions, and engagements aimed at strengthening Centre–State cooperation and regional development.
Meanwhile, the Vice-President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, is attending the Centenary Celebrations of Andhra University in Visakhapatnam. The milestone event commemorates 100 years of academic excellence and contributions to higher education and research.
The Prime Minister will participate in the closing ceremony of Sikkim’s 50th Year of Statehood celebrations at Paljor Stadium in Gangtok. During the event, multiple development projects worth over ₹4,000 crore will be inaugurated, launched, and have their foundation stones laid, marking a major push for infrastructure and socio-economic development in the state.
In New Delhi, NITI Aayog is set to release the report titled “DPI@2047 for Viksit Bharat – A Strategic Roadmap to Enable Non-linear Inclusive Socio-economic Growth.” The document aims to provide a long-term vision for leveraging Digital Public Infrastructure to drive inclusive and accelerated growth as India moves toward its centenary of independence.
