New Delhi: The Chairman and Managing Director of India's top oil and gas PSU, Bharat Petroleum Corporation of India completes his tenure, bids adieu to BPCL leaving behind a legacy of transformation, innovation, and people-centric leadership.
From his early days in HR services, he demonstrated a lifelong commitment to nurturing talent, culture and capability. After moving to marketing, he has set industry benchmarks with innovative ideas, such as transforming Retail Outlet identities, pioneering India's first branded fuel 'Speed', and designing pioneering loyalty programs like PetroCard and SmartFleet.
He led the turnaround of MAK Lubricants, driving customer-centric innovation and global expansion. As Head of HRD, he reimagined talent development with robust leadership programs and an integrated talent management system.
At the helm as C&MD, he steered BPCL through a pivotal era of energy transition. From launching the Rs 1.70 lakh crore Project Aspire to pioneering green energy, non-fuel retail, and digital transformation, his vision was bold and future-ready.
Under his leadership, BPCL achieved its highest-ever profitability while expanding its energy portfolio, from petrochemicals to hydrogen. His inclusive leadership empowered teams, inspired collaboration, and built a resilient, future-focused organisation.
