BPCL Flags Off First-Ever 1G Bio-Ethanol Tanker from Bargarh Bio-Refinery
New Delhi: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) achieved a major milestone in India’s clean energy journey as Sanjay Khanna, Director (Refineries) with additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director, flagged off the first-ever tanker lorry carrying BPCL’s 1G Bio-Ethanol from the Bargarh Bio-Refinery, bound for the IOTL Raipur Depot under the Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) Programme.
This historic initiative demonstrates BPCL’s commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat, boosting domestic biofuel production and supporting the nation’s energy transition and sustainability goals.
During the visit, Shri Khanna reviewed the bio-refinery facilities and praised the project and operations teams for their coordinated efforts, which made this landmark achievement possible.
